Está dirigida a psiquiatras, paidopsiquiatras, pediatras, neurólogos y cualquier médico especialista que brinde atención a niños con trastornos mentales. Es necesario aclarar que la correcta aplicación de estas guías requiere conocimientos médicos y habilidades clínicas. Además, estas directrices solo reflejan un consenso a partir de los conocimientos actuales en el campo de la psiquiatría infantil, no incluyen todas las situaciones que pueden ser objeto de atención clínica.
